Our Definition Of Luxury

Luxury can be a divisive word. Traditionally, a luxury denotes something that is enjoyed by certain people and not by others. It speaks of the privilege and exclusivity enjoyed by an elite and unattainable few. There is a flaw in that thinking and is further damaging to the already fractured definition of luxury.

There is a new approach to the idea of luxury growing specifically within our generation that puts the subject in an entirely different (and perhaps to older generations an alarmingly inclusive) light. It is not that we no longer want nice things–instead, we are beginning to realize that the existing definition of luxury is too simple.

Luxury, in its new context (and in the very truest form of its vogue over the (centuries) is the experience of beauty of the art at its deepest and most inspiring.

“Luxury” is a state of mind and a sensory experience. The Luxury experience extends beyond ownership of a ‘luxury’ good. There is the appreciation, attention and enjoyment that makes luxury. "A 'luxury experience' is something that simply makes one feel good or special. At iJaitra one would realize that No longer can something be considered luxury just based on cost. At iJaitra every need and desire that you anticipate would be fulfilled even before you realize that it is a requirement.
